Dr. Iqbal Murshed Kabir worked in the Department of Gastroenterology at BIRDEM Hospital for 8 years. Before joining Apollo Hospital Dhaka, he was serving in Bangladesh Medical College and Hospital, Dhanmondi as Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Gastroenterology. In both places he acquired vast exposure to patient management and Endoscopic procedures including ERCP. He has got special interest and vast exposure to management of the patients with Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C and Fatty Liver. Dr. lqbal performed near about 31,500cases of Diagnostic Upper GIT Endoscopy, 5,800 cases of Diagnostic Colonoscopy, 1,000 cases of Polypectomy, 300 cases on Endoscopic variceal ligation, 150 so cases of Endoscopic Haemostasis, 30 cases of Endoscopic Pneumatic Balloon Dilatation and 300 cases of Therapeutic ERCP (Papillotomy, stone and worm extraction and Pancreatico-biliary Stenting).
